I was inspired to get my SRES certification by my mother. In her 80's, she needed information about what her housing options were. She was living in a house that no longer fit her needs but didn't want to leave the comfort and familiarity of her home. She wasn't interested in assisted living but her house was getting more difficult for her to properly maintain and safely live in. She needed someone that had more resources than just how to list and sell her home.
